Thursday, 11 March, 2010 - HHS Spring Play - Chateau LaRoach
Château Laroche is a beautiful hotel perfect for any weekend get-away. However, the owners, François and Mimi Laroche, are horrified to discover the enormity of their cockroach problem as they prepare for a big weekend of visitors. In fact, the cockroaches have appeared just in time to make a good impression on a famed travel writer. They've also learned the health inspector is making a surprise visit—disguised as a typical guest! Could the inspector be one of the young honeymooners? The wealthy widow or her hypnotist? The British bicyclist? The manager of a bratty child star? François launches an all-out war on the creepy-crawly creatures as the disgruntled staff members struggle to hide the pesky problem from the hotel guests. Even with the help of two zealous exterminators, Roskel T. Goomey and his little sister, the roaches quickly and hysterically adapt to the chemical assault and begin to grow bigger, while the supposed health inspector hallucinates after mistakenly using the toxic bug powder on his spaghetti, thinking it was Parmesan cheese! Will the guests make it out alive? Will François and Mimi lose Château Laroche?

Thursday, 11 March, 2010 - Lonesome Travelerbluegrass Band live @ Cafe Semolino
Lonesome Travelerbluegrass Band (Ft. Collins, CO) live @ Cafe Semolino http://www.myspace.com/lonesometravelerbluegrassband Lonesome Traveler will have to change their name soon to account for the horde of fans that are starting to follow them around. This is an acoustic band from Colorado’s front range with a bluegrass driver’s license, a certificate of songwriting, and a sheriff’s badge of cool. They possess the cracklin’ firepower of a six-piece band, yet the grace of a dancer as they weave in and around their condenser microphones, singing, picking, and testifying to the gospel of Americana music.Together the band makes music that moves the old sounds forward. Their songs are squarely in the rich vein of Americana bluegrass, folk, blues, country and Celtic sounds, yet they bring in contemporary metaphors and reflections that are connecting with audiences and radio listeners all across our great nation. Taking second place in both Telluride and Rockygrass band contests, and playing over 150 shows a year since they started, the band is putting on the miles and getting out the smiles wherever they go.www.lonesometravelerband.com

Friday, 12 March, 2010 - Ramoth-Gilead (Tyler, TX) live @ Cafe Semolino
(acoustic - soul)Â http://myspace.com/thereallybadPronounced [Ray-Moth (the insect), Gil-Lee-Add (opposite of subtract)], he currently travels the U.S., offering music lovers the opportunity to hear what many have said to be something new and fresh; something needed to be heard on air waves today. Ramoth-Gilead was brought up listening to his father's collection of soul music from the 60's and his mother's favorite gospel records of the 80's. When breaking away to discover music for himself, he was intrigued with the lyrics of hip-hop, the color of jazz and classical, and the feel-good music of the 70's. A lot of these early influences are prevalent in his own music and lyrics as he combines real life and humor together with colorful and rhythmically funky acoustic guitar chords. His debut album, ATTRACTING A CROWD, is a live recorded performance which gives the listener an opportunity to hear why so many people are attracted to his clever way with words and his unique guitar style. As a part-time street musician, Ramoth has had his share of run-ins with the law. The title of the album uses the same words that an officer described in a citation that was given to him. The incident-inspired track, 'Play For Change', tells his story. 'Ramoth-Gilead (the really bad) is a GJ's favorite, and should be inducted into the GJ's Hall Of Fame (if there was such a thing). There's no one like him... [he] attracts a crowd in bus stations, street corners, parks, bars, clubs, coffeehouses - wherever he can sit and play some of his amazing songs. My favorites are 'Play for Change,' 'I Can Smell It,' 'Unanswered Calls,' 'Cornbread,' 'Deeper Than Politics,' and... probably all the others, too!' - GJ's Coffeehouse (Tucson, AZ) 'You simply won't find another musician who gives it to you this straight, this raw, and with this much style.' - INfluence Magazine '...the delivery of your song gives it dimension.' - some lady in a NY subway station 'A modest little person, with much to be modest about.' -- Winston Churchill 'He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary.' -- William Faulkner 'He can compress the most words into the smallest idea of any man I know.' -- Abraham Lincoln 'He loves nature in spite of what it did to him.' -- Forrest Tucker 'He has Van Gogh's ear for music.' -- Billy Wilder

Wednesday, 17 March, 2010 - St. Patricks Day at Coffee Rules Lounge
With the origin being Ireland it is obvious that the Day is also holiday there,as it is here in the US.But In Ireland, it is more of a religious holidaysimilar to Christmas and Easter. With grand parades, community feasts, charity show, the mass,St Patrick's Day is celebrated in Ireland. The parades, shamrocks, and green beer are provided primarily for tourists. In fact, it has turned outto be one of the most celebrated events in Ireland and a major tourist attraction. With so many activities and programs it may seem a little confusing about whatactually is the theme of this multi dimensional celebration. The early Irish immigrants like the English, Dutch, German, French and the likes, brought their traditions in United States. But it was not until 1737 thatthe immigrants really celebrated the Day. And It was in Boston where the Day wasfirst celebrated in a public way.Gradually other states took it up. And it was New Yorkthat took out the largest ever St Patrick' s Day parade. Held since 1762,the New York City parade on St Patrick's Day draws more thanone million spectators each year.Meanwhile the city of Chicago has developed a unique tradition ofcoloring the river water green. It started in 1962 when 100 pounds ofgreen vegetable dye were added to its river, enoughto keep it green for a week. The tradition has continued till date. Now, 40 pounds of a green food coloring keep the river green for only a few hours. These apart Irish community in various cities celebrate the Day with socialand community works. Making charities, attending mass, promoting their own culture, and feasting with their foods.Despite all these varieties, all are driven by a unique theme: be an Irish day. It's a celebration for being Irish and enjoying things Irish. While it reminds us about St Patrick. It also tells us to be Irish. With shamrocks and the leprechaun. As it tells us to cook and feast the Irish way. To laugh away all worries withIrish jokes. Dance to the tunes of the Irish bands. Try out the Irish words. And with all these the Day lets us knowthe real fun of being Irish. St. Patrick's Day Schedule 5:30 p.m. Dinner Menu to be announced! 5:30-6:30 WKSA Celtic group 7:00-9:00 Celtic Open Jam
